Even a dreaded terrorist is not given such treatment. The treatment given to Shri Sadhguru is not only shocking but also raises questions about objectivity of the law & order process. Highly deplorable action. Hope that such things are not repeated. If such is the plight of a Saint what can a common man expect?

Some people find complacency, solace & pride in telling others, Look I stood in top 3 etc, & my this relative completed his/ her course in “record” time (again (rat) race & rank mentality).

IMHO, the entire purpose of any education system, is to gain knowledge, implement it in your daily life and share it for the betterment of the society.

Application of knowledge in your purposeful life is the core of our education system.

Marks & Rank don’t really matter, so far as you apply your knowledge as your habit.

Making continuous efforts, always striving to give your best, continuously improving upon yourself and your performance, the  most important in life.

Education and Learning is a continuous process, make it your daily lifelong habit.

Lets be united in protecting them, their culture, heritage & preserving their values.

Let us be very clear about that, no innocent should be targeted due to his/ her religious or cultural background.

The perpetrators behind such attacks should be punished under the law of the land. And in absence, a corrective, collective and firm action should be initiated against the errant .

Interpretation of Statutes....Maxim of Equity

I am a shocked Bhartiya and a confused legal interpreter, when I read the following:

A) One of the five maxims of equity are:

Equity regards substance rather than form

Equity looks at the true intent and meaning behind an action, not just the technical details or form it takes.

And

B)  I read this headline:

In 1950, no one minded Hindu gods on pages of Constitution: Ravi Shankar Prasad

Read more at:

An obvious question comes to my mind is,

So what was the true intent and meaning behind the action of including images of Hindu, Buddhist, Jain Gods and historical figures on the pages of Constitution in 1950,

and later on removing it from THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA ?

Marathi Translation:

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

That understanding which considers irreligion to be religion and religion to be irreligion, under the spell of illusion and darkness, and strives always in the wrong direction, O Pärtha, is in the mode of ignorance.

PURPORT

Intelligence in the mode of ignorance is always working the opposite of the way it should. It accepts religions which are not actually religions and rejects actual religion. Men in ignorance understand a great soul to be a common man and accept a common man as a great soul. They think truth to be untruth and accept untruth as truth. In all activities they simply take the wrong path; therefore their intelligence is in the mode of ignorance.

Intelligence and Career Success

Intelligence or Career success is not just about earning certificates or recognition in society or its display in social circles. In fact,it is not a one time achievement, it is about continuous process of learning, unlearning, being positively creative, caring and nurturing relationships, being positive throughout life and world around.

Most human activities should be as far as possible, be around these words : Good thoughts, Good words, Good Deeds, also the following Sanskrit verse  aptly reflects these words.

यथाकर्म यथाच्रुतं, लोकः प्राप्यते हि।
यस्य कर्म स तत्फलं, न शक्यं परिहार्यते॥

English Translation:

As per one's actions and deeds, they receive their world. One reaps what they sow, and this cannot be avoided.

And the above theory is not just limited to just one life but numerous births.

As it is said, if you are not positive you are not intelligent.

Waqf Board and Places of Worship Act : Pointers for Research

Students of law should study and discuss the following:

Key articles under the Constitution of India related to restoring damage done to property and places of worship:

1. Article 49:

Protection of monuments and places and objects of national importance. It states that it shall be the obligation of the State to protect every monument or place or object of artistic or historic interest, declared by or under law made by Parliament to be of national importance, from spoliation, disfigurement, destruction, removal, disposal, or export.

2. Article 51A:

Fundamental Duties. It includes the duty to protect and improve the natural environment, including forests, lakes, rivers, and wildlife, and to have compassion for living creatures.

3. Article 300A:

This article provides that no person shall be deprived of his property save by authority of law. This implies that any damage or deprivation of property must be done according to the law.

These articles ensure that the State has a duty to protect and preserve historical monuments and places of worship, and that any deprivation of property must be done lawfully.

Whether,  any law introduced, satisfied the following conditions  under the provisions of  common law?

Some key provisions:

1. Torts of Nuisance:

This includes both public and private nuisance. Public nuisance involves acts that affect the community at large, while private nuisance affects an individual’s enjoyment of their property. Remedies can include injunctions to stop the nuisance and damages for any loss suffered.

2. Torts of Trespass:

This involves unauthorized entry onto someone’s property. The property owner can seek damages for any harm caused by the trespass.

3. Torts of Negligence:

If someone’s negligence causes damage to property, the injured party can claim compensation for the loss. This includes damage to places of worship.

4. Restitution:

This involves restoring the injured party to the position they were in before the damage occurred. This can include repairing or rebuilding damaged property.

5. Injunctions:

Courts can issue injunctions to prevent further damage or to compel the responsible party to take specific actions to restore the property to its original condition.

6. Compensation:

The responsible party may be required to pay compensation for the cost of repairs, restoration, or replacement of the damaged property.

7. Criminal Charges:

In cases where damage is caused intentionally or through gross negligence, criminal charges may be brought against the responsible party. Penalties can include fines or imprisonment.

8. Public Interest Litigation (PIL):

Concerned citizens or organizations can file PILs to seek judicial intervention in cases of damage to public property or places of worship. Courts can issue orders to address specific instances of damage and hold responsible parties accountable.

These provisions ensure that individuals and entities are held accountable for their actions and that appropriate measures are taken to restore any damage caused.

Assumptions:

1) The Constitution of the country is supreme and the law of land prevails over the jurisdiction of a country’s territory and it's citizens.

2) No citizen or any organisation or any association or any group is above the constitution and law of land as all citizens and their fundamental rights are  equal.

3) The act introduced should be with in  the boundaries of common law.

4)  According to principle of justice and equality if it’s applicable to one citizen, entity, organisation or monuments, or place of worship it should be applicable to all such citizens, entities, organisations or monuments, or places of worship.

Disclaimer:

The above information may not be accurate, complete and correct, for more information please refer the relevant acts and laws, also need for more research as these are mere pointers and aren't exhaustive. Hence more detailed information required. Study more and discuss.

The motto of our Institute ( ICSI): सत्यं वद। धर्मं चर।

The motto of our Institute ( ICSI)

 सत्यं वद। धर्मं चर।

is from the Taittiriya Upanishad , Shikshavalli, Anuvaak (i.e.  Section 11/ Mantra1).

It is a piece of advice given to graduating students from the Gurukul, an ancient traditional school system for Vedic study.

The values in this shloka are based on the unchanging values of the Vedas, the oldest known Sanskrit texts.

The motto and motto theme song was unveiled by our Honorable PM, Shri Narendra Modi, during inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Year of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 4th October, 2017.

Meaning:- After teaching the Vedas, the Guru teaches discipline to the disciples in the ashram.

Speak the truth and work according to Dharma.

Do not be negligent towards self-study.

Bring money (by alms) that the Guru desires and do not break the tradition of progeny (i.e. be a householder and have children and get free from the debt of ancestors).

Do not be negligent towards the truth, i.e. do not turn away from the truth.

Do not turn away from Dharma.

Do not neglect those works which keep you well.

Do not refrain from auspicious works which give prosperity.

Do not neglect self-study and preaching.

Ancient texts are time tested life lessons. They established the principles, rules, traditions and norms, and manner in which one should lead and live life, perform duties and how laws and our karma effects us during our lifetime and thereafter.

Our texts, history contains events, timelines and their consequences and they practically orient us to perform our duties and karma in the most meaningful manner having regard to each and every act and situation.

Even one were to say, times have changed, but the laws of universe & karma have remained consistent and constant through out these centuries and have been proven through out these times.

They also highlight, how our own thoughts, words and deeds affects us and our environment.
So one might conclude that, almost all religious, spiritual and cultural texts, have their foundation on the above phrase, some however interpret it in a different manner .

Definitely it is not a bad idea to explore a topic of one’s own interests.

For example:

Ramayan relates more to struggles pertaining to Power, Throne, Kingdom, Duties, and Dominance.

While Mahabharat is more related to disputes pertaining to territory, property and Dharma.

The Upanishads are a collection of texts which form the philosophical foundation of spirituality, metaphysics, and the nature of reality and  explore profound philosophical questions about existence, the nature of the self, and the ultimate reality.

They provide guidance for spiritual growth and self-realization, emphasizing the importance of inner knowledge and meditation. The Upanishads are the basis for the Vedanta school of philosophy, which is one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy.

In addition there are many other varied ancient texts for one’s knowledge and research and analysis.

These ancient texts continue to inspire and guide seekers of truth and wisdom, offering timeless insights into the nature of existence and the path to spiritual fulfillment.
Hence Explore, Research and Analyse.

As the famous quote goes, “Teach your children Dharma before someone teaches them Adharma.”

Guru Gobind Singh Quotes

“The greatest comforts and lasting peace are obtained, when one eradicates selfishness from within.”

“I came into the world charged with the duty to uphold the right in every place, to destroy sin and evil… the only reason I took birth was to see that righteousness may flourish, that good may live, and tyrants be torn out by their roots.”

“Those who call me God, will fall into the deep pit of hell.  Regard me as one of his slaves and have no doubt whatever about it. I am a servant of the Supreme Being; and have come to behold the wonderful drama of life.”

“I tell the truth; listen everyone. Only those who have Loved, will realise the Lord”

“Those who worship and adore the Lord through the Guru’s Word forget all their pain and suffering.”

"Whosoever assumes a religious garb pleases not God even a bit. O ye men, understand this clearly in your minds, that God is attained not through showmanship. They who practice deceit, attain not Deliverance in the Hereafter. They do so only to accomplish the affairs of the world and even the kings worship them for their appearance! But through showmanship, God is attained not, howsoever one searches. He who subdues his mind alone recognizes the Transcendent God."

“Fruitful is the entire life of those, who feel hunger for the Name of the Lord in their minds.”

“Day and night, meditate forever on the Lord.”

“I fall at the feet of those who meditate on the Truest of the True.”

“Blessed, blessed is the True Guru, who has given the supreme gift of the Name of the Lord.”

Forthcoming Maha Kumbh Mela 2025

Pointers for Why study our ancient texts?

Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas and विश्व हिंदी दिवस (Vishwa Hindi Diwas)

Importance and brief History ( Itihaas) of Kumbh Mela .

The Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, ( Uttar Pradesh) beginning on 13th January  till 26th February, holds immense religious and spiritual significance in our cultural history.

This event is deeply rooted in our history, particularly the legend of the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) described in ancient texts like the Puranas.

According to the Samudra Manthan, the Gods (Devas) and demons (Asuras) churned the ocean to obtain Amrit (nectar of immortality).

During this cosmic struggle, a pot of Amrit emerged, and to protect it from the demons, Lord Vishnu, disguised as Mohini, took the pot and fled.

As Shri Vishnu, traveled, a few drops of the nectar fell at four locations: Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. These places became sacred sites for the Kumbh Mela. Hence, Kumbha Melas are held at these places every 12 years on a rotational basis. This year it is being  held at Prayagraj.

The Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj is especially significant because it is held at the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and (the unseen) Saraswati rivers meet.

Pilgrims believe that taking a holy dip in the sacred waters at this confluence will purify their souls, wash away sins, and help them attain Moksha (Liberation of the soul).

The 2025 Kumbh Mela
is particularly special as it is a Maha Kumbh, occurring once every 144 years, due to a rare astronomical alignment of planets and stars.

This celestial alignment is believed to enhance the spiritual power of the gathering, making it an auspicious time for prayers and rituals. It signifies spiritual rebirth.

The current Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh is the biggest event on Earth, with about 45 Crores people (which is far more than the entire population of USA)  expected from all over the globe, in less than 45 days.

Considering the scale and complexity of this holy event, one is tempted to compare this Naya Bharat’s Maha Kumbh Mela event to lifting of Mount Mandara, in Bhagvat Puran, Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath and his entire team deserves not just our appreciation but full hearted support from all of us, for their untiring efforts to organise it on such a mammoth scale.

Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas and विश्व हिंदी दिवस (Vishwa Hindi Diwas)

Makar Sankrant Greetings !!!

Makar Sankrant has its origins in the Sanskrit words “Sankramana” and “Kala”,  which means Transition Time.

It is on this Day the Sun enters Capricorn sign ( Makar Rashi) and is also the beginning of Sun's journey towards Northern Hemisphere (Uttarayan).

Due to this, there are also co-ordinating changes in our inner energies or chakra (the kundalini shakti) which also begins to rise.

Hence, wishing You and Your Family A Very Happy Makar Sankrant !!!

मकर संक्रांतीच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा !!!

Power (Shakti) the Currency of Statecraft in three Categories and Priorities.

Kautilya defines and prioritises power and insists that all three must exist but ideally they need to be in the following priority :-

Priority 1 – Mantra-shakti or Mantri-shakti (Power of counsel and diplomacy).

Kautilya is cognizant that war is not the top priority and is the last resort and thus has this dictum as the top priority.

Priority 2 – Prabhav-shakti (Power of treasury and army). This is clearly what we understand today as economic might and military capacity. It also means, if forced into war economic and military capabilities will be decisive and regarded as a “Power”.

Priority 3 – Uttsah-shakti (Power  of personal energy). This is what may be now given in any leadership and management manual. The personal energies of the leaders and its team, citizens have a decisive effect as a collective Power. Kautilya considers Uttsah ( personal energy and enthusiasm) as a Power.

Wishing All Bhartiya, A Very Happy 76th Republic Day.

Greetings on Birth Anniversary of Punjab Kesri Shri Lala Lajpat Rai.

Wishing All Bhartiya, A Very Happy 76th Republic Day.

Quotes by Former President of India Honourable Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.

You have to dream before your dreams can come true.

Let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow.

Many civilizations collapsed and many nations failed because they did not have the vision at the right time.

Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the home. When there is harmony in the home, there is order in the nation. When there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world.

We must think and act like a nation of a billion people and not like that of a million people. Dream, dream, dream.

If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher.

No religion has mandated killing others as a requirement for its sustenance or promotion

We should not give up and we should not allow the problem to defeat us.

We have not invaded anyone. We have not conquered anyone. We have not grabbed their land, their culture, their history and tried to enforce our way of life on them.

Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? Is it a legacy of our colonial years? We want foreign television sets. We want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology. Why this obsession with everything imported?

I firmly believe that unless one has tasted the bitter pill of failure, one cannot aspire enough for success.

Creativity is the key to success in the future, and primary education is where teachers can bring creativity in children at that level

In a democracy, the well-being, individuality and happiness of every citizen is important for the overall prosperity, peace and happiness of the nation.

My 2020 Vision for India is to transform it into a developed nation. That cannot be abstract; it is a lifeline.

-

Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Honourable Former President of India.

Quotes by Former Prime Minister Honourable Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

I have a vision of India: an India free of hunger and fear, an India free of illiteracy and want.

I dream of an India that is prosperous, strong and caring. An India, that regains a place of honour in the comity of great nations.

Empowering the individual means empowering the nation. And empowerment is best served through rapid economic growth with rapid social change.

Indian democracy's greatest strength is that we have always put the nation above politics.

I have a vision of India: an India free of hunger and fear, an India free of illiteracy and want.

The spending in science and technology needs to be increased.

Our aim may be as high as the endless sky, but we should have a resolve in our minds to walk ahead, hand-in-hand, for victory will be ours.

India was secular even when Muslims hadn't come here, and Christians hadn't set foot on this soil. It is not as if India became secular after they came. They came with their own modes of worship, and they, too, were given a place of honor and respect. They had the freedom to worship God as per their wish and inclination.

Let no one challenge India's secularism.

We believe in equal respect for all faiths.

I would like that no citizen of the state feels alone and helpless. The entire nation is with them.

This power of democracy is a matter of pride for our country, something which we must always cherish, preserve, and further strengthen.

I believe that democracy is the best guarantor for peace and cooperation among nations.

-Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee,

Honourable Former Prime Minister of India.

Greetings on Vishwakarma Jayanti

Greetings on Birth Anniversary of Punjab Kesri Shri Lala Lajpat Rai.

Wishing All Bhartiya, A Very Happy 76th Republic Day.

Vishwakarma Jayanti is a celebration and festival of the Birth of Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and craftsman of the Gods in Sanatan History.

He was a divine architect who created Earth and the entire celestial universe. When there was no land, no water or any other sign of life, Lord Vishwakarma crafted everything.

According to the Moola Stambha Purana, even before Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahesh came into existence, Lord Vishwakarma created himself. He is also known as ‘Swayambhu’ which is a Sanskrit word for self-made or one who manifests himself.

Amongst the best of his creations, he also formed Shiva’s Trishul, Vijay Dhanusha of Arjun and the city of Indraprastha on the west of river Yamuna.

History also points that Swarga in the Satya Yuga, Lanka in the Treta Yug and Dwarka in the Dwapar Yug were built by him.

Importance and Rationale Behind Celebrating Vishwakarma Jayanti.

1. Divine Architect: Vishwakarma is revered as the divine architect who created the universe and crafted the celestial abodes, weapons, and chariots of the gods. In the Rig Veda, Lord Vishwakarma is addressed as the God-like carpenter who is also identified as Sthapatya Veda.

2. Symbol of Creativity and Skill: Vishwakarma represents the pinnacle of creativity and skill in Sanatan history.

Celebrating his contributions also encourages artisans, craftsmen, and workers to take pride in their work and strive for excellence.

3. Cultural Significance: Vishwakarma Jayanti is an important cultural festival that highlights the significance of architecture, engineering, and craftsmanship in Hindu culture. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of these ancient professions in our culture and society.

4. Rituals and Traditions: On Vishwakarma Jayanti, devotees perform special prayers and rituals to seek blessings for their tools and workplaces.

This practice is believed to bring prosperity and success in their professional endeavours.

Ancient Indian Texts and References.

1. Rig Veda: Vishwakarma is mentioned in the Rig Veda as the divine architect and craftsman. The Rig Veda describes his role in creating the Universe and crafting the divine abodes.

2. Vishwakarma Purana.
This ancient scripture delves into the life and teachings of Vishwakarma, detailing his divine lineage, creative abilities, and contributions to the world. It emphasizes his role in shaping the world with his skills, craftsmanship and architectural expertise.

3. Mahabharat and Ramayan: Vishwakarma is credited with building the city of Indraprastha for the Pandavas in the Mahabharat and the golden city of Lanka for Ravana in the Ramayan. These historical epics highlight his unparalleled skills and his crucial role in shaping our ancient tradition and culture.

Life Lessons from Vishwakarma Jayanti

1. Be creative and positive: Vishwakarma Jayanti reminds us of the importance of creativity and innovation in our lives. Don't be influenced by negative elements in the world and keep doing the good work.

2. Pride in Work: The festival encourages us to take pride in whatever creative or positive work we do and strive for excellence in our work and professional endeavours.

3. Respect for Craftsmanship: It also highlights the significance of craftsmanship and the contributions of artisans and workers to society and utilise one's skills in whatever work we do and always strive to make such work a unique one.

4. Spiritual Connection: Celebrating Vishwakarma Jayanti fosters a spiritual connection with the divine, seeking blessings for success and prosperity.

The Vishwakarma Jayanti is a celebration of the birth of this holy deity. It is also a celebration of creativity, skill, labour, and the divine art of craftsmanship.

Whereas Vishwa Karma Pooja is observed on annually on the last day in the Bengali month of Bhadra, and it concurs with the Sankranti, a day that marks the transit of the Sun. Therefore, the day is also referred to as Kanya Sankranti.

It is usually observed on September 17 every year, but the date varies occasionally. It either arrives a day or two before or after.

Lord Vishwakarma also serves as a reminder of the importance of work ethics and values in our lives and society. In short create yourself and your world. As it is said You are the architect ( Creator) of your life and this world.

Quotes by Punjab Kesri Shri  Lala Lajpat Rai.

The foreign rulers of India have never been quite happy about the Arya Samaj They have always disliked its independence, its tone and its propaganda of self-confidence, self-help and self-reliance"

The correct thing for us to do is to strive for a democratic Raj in which the Hindus, the Muslims and the other communities may participate as Indians and not as followers of any particular religion"

What we aim at is not the merging or the absorption of the one into the other, but the integration of all into one whole, without in any way injuring or lessening each group individually"

Morality requires that we should take to the work of elevating the depressed classes out of a sheer sense of justice and humanity regardless of any outside considerations"

We are wedded neither to cooperation nor to non-cooperation. We must do what is best, practical and possible under the circumstances

The process of building a nation is a moral process. You cannot engage in work of this kind with success by practicing duplicity"

Begging or prayer cannot bring freedom. You can win it only through struggle and sacrifice"

मराठी भाषा गौरव दिनाच्या आणि कवी वि वा शिरवाडकर (कुसुमाग्रज) यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त हार्दिक शुभेच्छा

Greetings on the occasion of  Mahashivratri

Mahashivratri, the "Great Night of Shiva," is a significant Hindu festival honouring Lord Shiva, observed with prayers, fasting, and rituals.

It falls on the 14th day of the dark fortnight (Krishna Paksha) in the Hindu month of Maagha, typically in February or March.

Union of Shiva and Shakti:

It marks the divine wedding between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, representing the union of masculine and feminine energies and the harmony required for cosmic order.

It is believed that on the night of Mahashivratri, Shiva performed the cosmic dance of Tandava.

It also, represents the victory of light over ignorance and darkness, commemorating Lord Shiva's triumph over the demon of ignorance and ego, Tripurasura.

Cosmic Dissolution and Regeneration:

Shiva's role as the destroyer of evils within the Hindu Trinity signifies the impermanence of the material world and the eternal nature of the soul.

Spiritual Growth:

In the yogic tradition, Shiva is not worshipped as a God, but considered as the Adi Guru, the first Guru from whom the science of Yoga originated.

The planetary positions during Mahashivratri are believed to create an ideal environment for spiritual growth, amplifying spiritual energy during meditation.

It is an opportunity for devotees to purify their minds and hearts, letting go of negative tendencies and egoistic desires that hinder spiritual growth.

Self-Realization and Transcendence:

Lord Shiva symbolizes the highest state of consciousness and spiritual awakening, guiding devotees to a deeper understanding of their true nature and the divine within.

It is a time for seeking divine blessings and spiritual guidance from Lord Shiva through prayers, rituals, and mantras.

Unity and Devotion:

Mahashivratri fosters a sense of unity and devotion amongst Sanatanis, transcending caste, creed, and social divisions.

National Science Day 2025

Remembering Smt. Savitribai Phule and her contributions & Shri V V Shirwadkar & his contributions.

Greetings on the occasion of International Womens' Day, 2025

National Science Day 2025

The theme this year is “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat"

National Science Day is a day to celebrate the Raman Effect discovered by Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, popularly known as C.V. Raman, Indian physicist, who played a crucial role in shaping India's scientific research institutions, and his research in the field of spectroscopy, earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

The discovery of the Raman Effect proved that light can be scattered and that the scattered light contains information about the vibrational states of molecules. This effect is widely used in chemistry, physics, and medicine to study the composition and properties of different materials.

The Significance of National Science Day is not just about remembering a great discovery but also about understanding how science helps in our daily lives. It encourages people to learn, explore, and use science for a better future.

By spreading awareness, supporting innovation, and honouring scientists, this day inspires young minds to take an interest in science.

This Day encourages us to have a scientific temperament and mindset, which is important factor for not only for achievement and success but, but to develop scientific attitude towards consistent hard work, efforts, and self-improvement for accomplishment of any tasks and objectives, be it career or life.

National Science Day helps us move forward by making science a part of everyone’s life.

English Translation:

I am the one who gives wealth to the nation,
I am the first one to whom this sacrifice is addressed,

The deities have found my manifoldness,
And enter into it and take possession of the manifoldness.

(From The Rig Veda Mandal 10, Sukta125, Rik 3).

The Devi Suktam

The Devi Suktam connects with themes of dharma (cosmic order), indicating that adherence to righteousness leads to harmony in life, while neglecting it, results in chaos.

The Devi Suktam is a revered hymn from the Rigveda ( Mandal 10, Sukta125), celebrating the omnipresence, power, and nurturing qualities of the Divine Feminine, or Devi.

Swami Vivekanand Quotes on Ideal Woman

O India! Forget not that the ideal of thy womanhood is Sita, Savitri, Damayanti. . .

The Hindu woman is still superior to all other women in the world —her rights. The right to possess property is as absolute for women in India as for men — and has been for thousands and thousands of years.

The Hindu women are very spiritual and very religious, perhaps more so than any other women in the world. If we can preserve these beautiful characteristics and at the same time develop the intellects of our women, the Hindu woman of the future will be the ideal woman of the world.

Remembering Smt. Savitribai Phule and her contributions & Shri V V Shirwadkar & his contributions.

Remembering Smt. Savitribai Phule and her contributions & Shri V V Shirwadkar & his contributions.

Remembering Smt. Savitribai Phule and her social contributions and Shri Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar ( Kusumagraj) and his contributions.

Smt. Savitribai Phule (1831–1897) was a pioneering Indian social reformer, educator, and poet who played a crucial role in advancing women's rights and challenging caste discrimination.

Life and Social Work
- Early Life : Born in Naigaon, Maharashtra, Savitribai married Jyotirao Phule at the age of nine. Her husband educated her, inspiring her to become India's first female teacher.

- Education and Empowerment:
In 1848, she and Jyotirao opened the first school for girls in Pune. Over time, they established 18 schools and worked to educate marginalized communities, including Dalits.

- Social Reforms:
Savitribai actively fought against child marriage, sati, widow oppression, and infanticide. She established shelters for widows and destitute women and adopted a child born to a Brahmin widow.

- Satya Shodhak Samaj:
She played a key role in this movement promoting social equality and became the head of its women's section.

Challenges
Savitribai faced severe societal backlash:

- Hostility:
Orthodox groups threw stones, mud, and dung at her while she traveled to teach. She carried spare clothes to change at school.

- Family Opposition:
Her father-in-law expelled her and Jyotirao from their home due to their work for lower castes.

- Caste Prejudice:
She defied norms by opening wells for Dalits and organizing marriages without Brahmin priests.

Overcoming Challenges.
Savitribai overcame these challenges through resilience and innovation:

- She continued teaching despite abuse, offering stipends to students to encourage attendance.

- Along with Jyotirao, she built shelters for marginalized women and created inclusive spaces like wells for Dalits.

- During the bubonic plague in 1897, she opened a clinic with her adopted son, Yashwant Rao. Tragically, she contracted the disease while helping patients and passed away on March 10, 1897.

Savitribai Phule’s legacy as a trailblazer for education and social justice remains a cornerstone of India’s feminist movement.

The day is observed to mark the death anniversary of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru.

Shaheed Diwas remembers all the valiant warriors who fought and sacrificed their lives for their country, their motherland.

Some Quotes of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

“They may kill me, but they cannot kill my ideas. They can crush my body, but they will not be able to crush my spirit."

"Revolution is an inalienable right of mankind. Freedom is an imperishable birthright of all."

“But man's duty is to try and endeavour, success depends upon chance and environments.”

“Philosophy is the outcome of human weakness or limitation of knowledge.”

“Merciless criticism and independent thinking are the two necessary traits of revolutionary thinking.”

"I am a man and all that affects mankind concerns me."

"I am such a lunatic that I am free even in jail"

May the sun in his course visit no land freer, happier, more lovely, than this our own country.

'Study' was the cry that reverberated in the corridors of my mind. Study to enable yourself to face the arguments advanced by opposition. Study to arm yourself with arguments in favour of your cult. I began to study."

Remembering Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar on his Birth Anniversary

International Children’s Book Day 2025.

Books 📚 are one of the oldest and reliable sources of information and knowledge.

They literally don't require much energy to read, just open them and you can read them anywhere, anytime.

Apart from that, they also trigger one's imagination and enhance creativity.

Books are a person's best companion, especially for self-study, research, and focused learning.

Indeed, it is believed that the books or texts are primary building blocks and foundation of any education and knowledge-based system.

It's often said, if a person's library is bigger or wider than his TV cabinet, then he is a knowledgeable person.

A reading habit is your path to education, knowledge, and success.

Happy World Homeopathy Day 2025

Greetings on Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Birth Anniversary.

Greetings on Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Birth Anniversary.

World Homoeopathy Day, marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the Father of Homoeopathy.

Similia Similibus Curantur "like cures like".

Homeopathy was founded by German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in the late 18th century.

He based it on the principle of  "Similia Similibus Curantur " (like cures like), which asserts that substances capable of producing symptoms in healthy individuals can be used to treat similar symptoms in those who are ill.

Homeopathy gained immense popularity in Europe and America during the 19th century, particularly during epidemics like cholera and typhoid.

It was often favored over conventional medicine due to its perceived safety and effectiveness compared to harsh treatments and invasive techniques.

Homeopathy has been traditionally used to treat various diseases, including psychosomatic disorders, allergies, and certain chronic conditions.

It emphasizes a holistic approach by considering individual characteristics and symptoms. It is often believed that Homeopathic healthcare is focused on healing the patient and not just the disease or symptoms.

- Holistic Approach: Homeopathy treats patients as a whole, focusing not just on the symptoms or locational aspects but also on psychological, social, and physical well-being. Practitioners consider individual characteristics when prescribing remedies.

- Non-Toxic Remedies: Homeopathic remedies are highly diluted, often to the point where they are chemically indistinguishable from the solvent. This makes them generally safe with no known toxic side effects.

- Patient-Centric Treatment: Homeopathy often involves detailed consultations, which can have a therapeutic effect, helping patients feel heard and understood.

- Scientific Debate: Despite its popularity, homeopathy is considered pseudoscientific by many mainstream scientists due to a lack of empirical evidence supporting its efficacy beyond placebo effects.

- Modern Applications: Despite controversies, homeopathy continues to be popular for treating conditions where conventional medicine might not provide satisfactory relief. It is also valued for its focus on prevention and health maintenance.

Homeopathy can be regarded as a Holistic and Silent Heathcare.

Greetings on Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Birth Anniversary.

Greetings on Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Birth Anniversary.

Greetings on Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Birth Anniversary.

Mahatma Jyotirao Phule son of Chinmabai and Govind Rao Phule was born in 1827. His father was a gardener and he lost his mother at a very young age.

On admission to school his father Govind Rao Phule told young Jyoti Rao to study well and make us proud.

Young Jyoti Rao continued with his reading and studies despite challenges and adversities.

At young age he married Savitribai and taught her basics and the importance of education and school, despite during those times, girls weren’t allowed to go school.

He always believed learning helps ones thought process and assists creative thinking in form of new ideas. He also learned the art of fighting.

Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule always believed education is the key to right conduct and a reformed society hence he and Savitribai started schools and became teachers.

However adversity and intolerance among certain groups made him leave his home. The Phule  couple faced lot of oppression from certain section of society and groups
However even after so much pressure the couple did not succumb but successfully ran 3 schools in 1852, and continued their mission further by opening many libraries and schools.

Soon efforts of both were recognised and were honoured. They further carried out their social work by participating and creating awareness and preventing infanticide of children and rehabilitation of widows.

Mahatma Phule formed many social and charitable organizations and forums, one of the prominent organisation was Satya Shodhak Samaj (a group to seek the truth) which became a National Movement.

Jyotiba ( as he was fondly called ) also worked for justice and betterment of farmers and workers.

His entire life was totally dedicated for the cause of oppressed, poor and needy, his family fought for justice and upliftment of the poor and the oppressed.

They firmly believed education defeats prejudice and is the key to social reforms, awareness and upliftment.

His social work and efforts, will always be remembered as a milestone and epitome for creating a new society development.

Life Lessons of Shri Hanuman (in short).

Also known as the Son of Pawan, (The Wind God).

Also referred to as Gyan Gun Sagar meaning Ocean of Wisdom and Virtues or Sea of Knowledge and Qualities.

One of the 7 Chiranjeevi’s (The immortal).

The Chiranjeevi’s are believed to exist till the end of Kalyug for the benefit of mankind and Mother Earth.

They are believed to be existing even today and will exist till the end of Kalyug.

There are references of the existence of Shri Hanuman in various previous Yugas.

In Sat Yug as a follower of Lord Shiva

In Treta Yug as devotee of Shriram.

In Dwapar Yug he met Bheem and Arjun and was the emblem of Arjun's chariot.

In forthcoming Kalyug, He will await arrival of Lord Kalki and restore Satyug.

Shree Hanuman changed his form (रूप ) according to circumstances ( भीम रुप, सुक्ष्म रूप).

Carried the Gods on his shoulders

Moved the mountains

He is the perpetual rescuer of humanity.

He is the greatest logistics expert

Shree Hanuman is epitome of devotion and courage

The greatest Ram Bhakt.

His connection with the Sun God is just not limited about his leap towards him but also in Shree Hanuman Chalisa.

Shree Hanuman Chalisa precisely calculates the distance between Earth And Sun.

जुग सहस्त्र योजन पर भानु, लील्यो ताहिमधुर फल जानू II १८ II

"Yug Sahasra Yojan Par Bhanu, Leelyo taahi Madhura Phal jaanu".

1 Yug = 12,000
1 Sahasra = 1,000
1 Yojana = 8 Miles
Yug x Sahasra x Yojana = 12,000 x 1,000 x 8 miles = 96,000,000 miles

Where 1 mile = 1.6 Kilometres 96,000,000 miles x 1.6 kilometres = 153,600,000 Kilometres Sun.

Shree Hanuman Chalisa is believed to be one of most powerful mantras.

Select quotes of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar.

I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved.

Freedom of mind is the real freedom.

A person whose mind is not free though he may not be in chains, is a slave, not a free man.

One whose mind is not free, though he may not be in prison, is a prisoner and not a free man.

One whose mind is not free though alive, is no better than dead. Freedom of mind is the proof of one's existence.

Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence.

Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man's life is independent.

He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self too.

Humans are mortal. So are ideas. An idea needs propagation as much as a plant needs watering. Otherwise both will wither and die.

Constitution is not a mere lawyers document, it is a vehicle of Life, and its spirit is always the spirit of Age.

A bitter thing cannot be made sweet. The taste of anything can be changed. But poison cannot be changed into nectar.

A great man is different from an eminent one in that he is ready to be the servant of the society.

History of Books and their cultural significance and relevance.

History of Books and their cultural significance and relevance.

History of Books and their cultural significance and relevance.

Books have been primarily foundational and building blocks of all the civilization or culture since ancient times.

They are basic fabric and guiding principles and structure of all civilization across the world.

Hence since time immemorial these foundation structures like libraries, cultural, spiritual, historical and heritage structures have been targeted by the invaders because these structures have always been precious resource to its civilization and were hubs of knowledge, wisdom, intellectual, and spiritual growth, of those civilizations and hence, they were targeted by the invaders.

Udantpuri University Bihar was targeted by the invaders, where Hindu and Buddhism books were destroyed.

Simhapuri University Bengal of Pala dynasty spread over 27 acres of land, was targeted by the invaders where Buddhist and Hindu books were burnt.

Bakhtiyar Khilji ( The biggest destroyer of Universities) and his troops destroyed best libraries in India we lost about 9,000,000 invaluable manuscript including Nalanda University  which burned for 3 months.

Vikramshila University which was spread across 100 acres was also targeted.

Jagadala university in Bengal which  was a library of Tantrik books including many Tibetan books was also targeted.

Vallabhiin Gujarat of Mitraka kings where Hindu and Buddhist books were destroyed.

Vikrampur Vihara in Bengal and Raigad Fort and  many other forts in Maharashtra were also targeted by invaders and many sacred, ancient, and historical manuscripts were destroyed.

These are chronological overview of notable events involving the destruction of libraries and historical texts by various invaders worldwide, including India:

Ancient and Classical Periods:

- Library of Alexandria (Egypt)

  - Around 48 BCE, during Julius Caesar’s siege of Alexandria, a fire spread from the burning of Egyptian ships in the harbor, damaging the library. The extent of destruction is debated, but the library survived in some form afterward.

- Between 270-275 CE, the Palmyrene invasion and subsequent imperial counterattack likely destroyed what remained of the library.

- In 642 CE, during the Arab conquest under Amr ibn al-As, later Arabic sources claim Caliph Umar ordered the burning of the remaining books, though historians doubt the accuracy of this story and suggest the library was already gone by then.

Medieval to Early Modern Periods:

- Imperial Library of Constantinople (Byzantine Empire).

  - Established around 350 CE, it stood for over 1,000 years but was ultimately lost to history, likely destroyed during the fall of Constantinople in 1453.

Colonial and Modern Periods:

- Destruction in India by Islamic Invaders

  - Various Islamic invasions in India saw the destruction of libraries and archives.

- Jaffna Public Library (Sri Lanka)

  - In May 1981, a mob including plainclothes police officers burned down the library in Jaffna, destroying around 95,000 volumes, one of the largest collections in South Asia.

- Royal Library of the Kings of Burma (Mandalay Palace)

  - Between 1885-1887, British troops looted and burned the royal library at the end of the Third Anglo-Burmese War.

- Lebanese National Library

  - Suffered significant damage during the Lebanese Civil War starting in 1975, with many precious manuscripts disappearing.

- National Library of Cambodia

  - Burned by the Khmer Rouge regime between 1976-1979, losing most books and bibliographical records.

Other Notable Incidents

-  Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra Catalan Library

  - Burned in 1939 by Franco’s troops during the Spanish Civil War, symbolizing an attack on Catalan culture and language.

- University of Alabama Library (USA)

  - Destroyed in 1865 by Union troops during the American Civil War, losing about 7,000 volumes.

This timeline reflects a long history of cultural and intellectual losses due to warfare, conquest, and political repression across different regions.

Significance of Akshaya Tritiya

History of Books and their cultural significance and relevance.

Significance of Akshaya Tritiya

According to the Hindu theory of creation, kaal (or time) is a manifestation of God.

The past, present and future all coexist in Him simultaneously. Therefore, God as kaalpurush is timeless and beyond its realms.

According to Hindu thought, creation begins when God activates both His positive and
negative energies;
and it ends as He withdraws them into a state of inaction.

Another important aspect of the Sanatan dharma theory of time is that time moves in a cyclical manner, commonly referred to as kaalchakra.

The end of one cycle is the beginning of another—therefore, there is actually no end to creation.

In a particular cycle of time, there are some timespans when God’s positive energies are hyperactive. Such periods when nature’s
positive energies are supercharged are known as mahurats or auspicious timings.

Traditional Hindus believe in this theory of auspicious timing and follow it in every station and walk of life—be it to begin a new venture or
making an important purchase.

Akshaya tritiya is one such momentous occasion. This tithi or date is considered one of the most auspicious days of the Hindu calendar. Akshayatritiya is also known as akhateej.

In Sanskrit, the word akshaya means imperishable or eternal or that which never diminishes.

Akshaya tritiya is a holy day in the Jain calendar as well. Ventures launched or valuables bought on this day are considered to bring success or unending good fortune.

Associated with material gains and wealth acquisition, buying gold is a popular activity on akshaya tritiya, as it is the ultimate symbol of wealth and prosperity. Gold bought and worn on this day signifies never-diminishing good fortune.

Hindus celebrate weddings, begin new business ventures, and even plan long journeys on
akshaya tritiya.

This golden day falls on the third day of the bright half of the Hindu month of baishakha (April–May) when astrologically, the sun and the moon
happen to be in exaltation and are simultaneously at the peak of their brightness, which occurs only once in a year.

Nature’s positive energies are hyperactive on this day, making each second of this day auspicious. It is hence a full mahurat day and if akshaya tritiya falls on rohini nakshatra, on a Monday, it becomes even more auspicious.

The myths around akshaya tritiya are that the day marked the beginning of the Treta Yuga (7000 BC), the second of the four yugas. According to the Puranas, sage Vedavyasa, along with Lord Ganesha, started writing the great epic Mahabharata on akshaya tritiya.

According to another legend, when the Pandavas were in exile, Lord Krishna presented them on this day with an akshaya patra, a bowl which would never go empty, and would produce an unlimited supply of food on demand.

Perhaps the most famous of the akshaya tritiya stories is the legendary friendship between Lord Krishna and his poor Brahmin friend Sudama. On
this day, as the tale goes, Sudama came over to Krishna’s palace in Dwarka to request him to redeem his poverty.

However, Sudama could not bring himself to make this particular request to Krishna. After spending the day together and reliving happy moments of their childhood days, Sudama
returned home the next day to find that in place of his humble hut stood a magnificent palace, his wife looking resplendent in fine clothes and
jewellery, and his children dressed likewise.

Fine artifacts, furniture, gemstones, and servants too added glamour to his new and beautiful house.

Sudama realized that although he hadn’t been able to voice his innermost desire, the gracious Krishna had understood his predicament and blessed him thus.

Balarama Jayanti is also observed on this day. Lord Balarama is also referred to as one of the dashavataras or ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

Lord Parashurama is also said to have been born on akshaya tritiya.

The festival of akshaya tritiya is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day eradicates and removes sins and makes one free from all sorrows.

Tulsi water is sprinkled in the area immediate to the idol of Lord Vishnu while performing his arati.

The Puranas state that devotees who perform the Shri Maha Vishnu puja on akshaya tritiya may attain salvation. In some regions, devotees fast on this day.

As per the Puranas, giving away of hand fans or pankhas, rice, salt, ghee, sugar, vegetables,
tamarind, fruits and clothes on akshaya tritiya is a very important aspect of the festival. In some regions of India, devotees perform tulsi puja on akshaya tritiya.

In Orissa, akshaya tritiya marks the advent of the agricultural season when farmers start cultivating their land, while construction of chariots for the rath yatra begins at Puri.

In Bengal, hal-khata, a ceremony involving the use of new audit books, is performed with the worship of Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi. Bengalis perform many rites and rituals on this day.

Akshaya tritiya is generally observed by fasting and worshipping Lord Vasudeva, another form of Lord Vishnu, with rice grains. A dip in the river Ganges on this day is considered to be favourable.

The trend nowadays, however, is to spend this propitious day in purchasing gold and diamonds rather than observing fast or doing charity or
pujas.

Gold and diamond dealers do brisk business by offering alluring rebates on purchases on this day.

Where The Mind Is Without Fear

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high

Where knowledge is free

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments

By narrow domestic walls

Where words come out from the depth of truth

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way

Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

Where the mind is led forward by thee

Into ever-widening thought and action

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

Quotes of Florence Nightingale

I attribute my success to this - I never gave or took any excuse.

If a patient is cold, if a patient is feverish, if a patient is faint, if he is sick after taking food, if he has a bed-sore, it is generally the fault not of the disease, but of the nursing.

Live your life while you have it. Life is a splendid gift. There is nothing small in it. Far the greatest things grow by God's law out of the smallest. But to live your life, you must discipline it.

Wise and humane management of the patient is the best safeguard against infection.

God spoke to me and called me to His Service. What form this service was to take the voice did not say.

The most important practical lesson that can be given to nurses is to teach them what to observe - how to observe - what symptoms indicate improvement - what the reverse - which are of importance - which are of none - which are the evidence of neglect - and of what kind of neglect.

I think one's feelings waste themselves in words; they ought all to be distilled into actions which bring results.

So never lose an opportunity of urging a practical beginning, however small, for it is wonderful how often in such matters the mustard-seed germinates and roots itself.
